Angst and drama!

Since I am a failure at life and everything, and am an emotional wreck over the pooping habits of my dog (OH HAI THAR PMS), here's some Sims 3 to brighten up your Friday evening.



Alex and Rory are initiating my Sims-3-ness. Alex looks too much like David Cook, but whatever, THEY HAVE A NEIGHBORHOOD NOW.

OMG WHY IS COMIC LIFE SO AWESOME.

OMG WHY ARE THESE OLD LADIES FLIRTING WITH CRANE.

( I've stopped interfering in their lives except for commentary, it leads to more drama. )

So I have played lots of Sims over the past... really long time and I'm sure they have been amusing but they haven't been recorded, sad.

That was before the EPIC DANCE PARTY OF NOVEMBER '08. Or... almost.

Going from iBook to Macbook Pro means that Sims actually WORKS. Video works too, and although for some reason my widescreen causes Sims to overcompensate with aspect ratio and record video all squished up, it is still pretty cool. Plus after a few weeks of video I realized video generally isn't that funny, except perhaps to illustrate some points.

Going from iBook to MBP also means I lost my previous families. It was okay, I still had Alex and Rory saved as Sims, so all I needed to do was get them back together and have them procreate, but obviously that results in different kids. Right now they have one daughter and are being pretty boring.

So I thought, what is a good fandom that has legacy potential? IF ONLY THERE WAS SOME SORT OF FANDOM TO SPAN THE GENERATIONS.

So Indy and Marion are at college. Because college consistently brings the lulz. And when I start younger, they are just boring.

( Everyone complains about University but it has proven to be the most enjoyable expansion pack ever. )




If these guys had a band, I would buy all their albums.

This is not a real post. Not...really...?

I just realized I didn't update as much as I played, so Alex and Rory have like twenty more kids and they've grown up and gone on vacation and moved around only to end up back in their old house.

So this is just an catch-up post. Of pictures.

Alex Keaton and Rory Gilmore got married (Fanfiction.net only WISHES to be as convoluted as my Sims) and had some babies. Some other stuff happened, but I can never remember it. I have clever commentary at the time, and then a few days later I come back and it is like... wait... why did I take this picture? Why was it funny?

Anyway.

I upgraded my memory and the Sims actually WORKS NOW, which is so exciting. I realized that I can take video. Unfortunately I have yet to acquire any skill at all at putting it together, and I only discovered I could do it late last night, so this is a montage of a proposal*, kissing, and dancing which doesn’t fit with the music except in length of time, and the quality is awful because I am only just figuring this video business out.

*Yes, they were already married. Until Peter had an affair with Gwen and MJ broke up with him. I didn’t intend to save it but for some reason it saved anyway, so they have to get married all over again.

I am so exceedingly frustrated with the lack of Seasons for Mac. Not only the lack of Seasons, but the lack of ANY INFORMATION WHATSOEVER. Pets was released at the same time. What is up, Aspyr? I am tired of these shenanigans.

It's so sad that the word "random" is so overused (and so lamely overused - "Teehee, guys, I'm RANDOM! That makes me FUNNY and QUIRKY!") by fourteen-year-olds with no wit whatsoever that I was hesitant to use it in its proper context here.

To make a long story short: game kept crashing, RAAARRRR frustration!, uninstalled, reinstalled, lost everything, restarted family with just Peter and MJ, Peter and MJ had twin girls (Cecily and Gwendolen, hee), I took pictures of baby/toddlerhood, realized picture settings were wrong, deleted all pictures, started over with pictures today.

And so...

I was looking through old pictures and I was actually getting weird and sad and nostalgic.

It was horrible.

Anyway.

It is fall. And with fall come many things... school. And school. And some leaves and school, and my Sims game crashing whenever I try to load Veronaville. I don’t know what’s up with that. Still, I figured this was a good opportunity to wonder why the same episode of Iron Chef is on twice in two days send Peter and MJ to college.

But I don’t send them off alone. Oh no. It is awful to go off to college alone. I know this well. I send them off with friends. “Friends.” Quotes and all. Hooray!
